East Asian Herbal Medicine
Over the course of the 2000+ year old East Asian herbal tradition, uniquely nuanced strategies have evolved for combining single herbs with different properties into safe and eloquent formulas specifically tailored to the unique condition and constitution of each patient.
Closely related to herbal medicine, foods can also be selected and combined according to energetic and healing properties.
Herbal formulas and dietary prescriptions can treat a broad range of conditions. Herbs and dietary changes can enhance and expedite healing when used in conjunction with acupuncture. They are especially effective for digestive complaints like IBS, gynecological issues, fertility concerns, skin issues, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and perimenopausal issues.
Herbs can be taken as teas made from raw, powdered or granular herbs, tinctures, or as pills. Stephanie works closely with her patients to determine which types of herbs are best suited to each individual.
“I began seeing Stephanie about a month ago with a list of wellness concerns that needed to be addressed. Stephanie addressed each concern and she was able to provide relief for me that same day. My main concern was muscloskeletal and headaches and her treatment is definitely a huge help. In addition, she has an abundance of knowledge with western medicine and Chinese herbal remedies. Since I began seeing her, I visit her at least every other week and she is prompt to respond to emails for scheduling!”
