Tap Into Your Body’s Innate Wisdom and
Feel Better
East Asian medicine is a complete medical system originating in China that has been used for 2,000+ years to treat a wide variety of health conditions.
Acupuncture
The body has an innate capacity for self-regulation. In East Asian medicine, we aim to enhance the free and uninhibited flow of Qi, the body’s vital life-force energy. The aim of treatment is to help facilitate the inherent self-regulating capacities of the body in order to help correct disharmonies and support optimal health. Through the use of sterile, single-use needles the width of a human hair, inserted at points along the body determined by palpation and diagnostic considerations, we start to have a conversation with the body in order to facilitate improved physiological functioning.
From a biomedical perspective, acupuncture:
•Increases microcirculation and blood flow to organs, muscles, and other body tissues
•Stimulates the release of endorphins and endogenous opioids, the body’s “feel good” chemicals that help reduce the symptoms of pain, improve mood, and promote relaxation
•Balances physiological processes that can be inhibited by stress, such as sleep, digestion, immunity, fertility, and hormonal cycling.
There are many different styles of acupuncture. Stephanie selects among these to meet each patient’s individual needs.
Stephanie specializes in:
TREATING Acute or Chronic Pain
BALANCING Women’s Life Passages

“Stephanie is an amazing acupuncturist - she takes time to diagnose and talk through your ailments, but also learns about your daily routines, diet, stress, etc to ensure her treatment plan is customized to the health concerns you are aware of and even some you may not be. Her sessions are relaxing, energizing, and she uses a wonderful combination of acupuncture and light touch, heat, and relaxation techniques for a very efficacious treatment. She also checks pulse and other body indicators during treatment which is great to see incorporated into her acupuncture practice. Lastly, her location in Strawberry Creek Park is perfect for a relaxing acupuncture session - in the middle of a park, a cute cabin feel with relaxation sounds and temperature control to ensure the session is as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Highly recommend!”
